PURPOSE:To provide the picture reader in which a loss time not directly contributing to picture reading within a picture read period is reduced so as to quicken the entire picture reading while the reader is made small and a synthesis picture of plural originals is outputted. CONSTITUTION:Originals are carried sequentially toward two original read sections 1, 2 from two original platens 107, 108, and one read unit 3 is reciprocatingly scanned in contact with contact glasses 101, 102 placed in parallel accordingly to allow a CCD in the read unit 3 to read sequentially the original set to the read position. |
