摘要 Preparation of tertiary olefins by chemical dehydration of tertiary alcohols, comprising a stage in which at least one tertiary alcohol, introduced via the line (9), and at least one boron compound, introduced via the line (12), chosen from the group formed by cyclic boron compounds comprising three boron-oxygen bonds per boron atom and oxygen-containing boron compounds comprising an unsaturation on the boron atom and at least one hydrocarbon group bonded via an oxygen atom to a boron atom, are brought into contact in a reactor R2, the said contact being carried out at a temperature and for a period of time sufficient to dehydrate the said tertiary alcohol and to form the said olefin, which is recovered via the line (10). In the case where the boron compound employed is a boroxine, the ortho-boric acid ester(s) recovered via the line (11) are conveyed into the reactor R3 where they are reconverted to boroxine by heating. The said boroxine is recycled via the line (12) to the reactor R2. The tertiary alcohol is formed by oxidation, in the reactor R1, of the corresponding hydrocarbon compound introduced via the line (1) using a gas mixture containing oxygen introduced via the line (2). <IMAGE>
