PURPOSE:To perform printing variable in density, in a printing control unit developing character data stored as code data on image data to transfer the same to a printer, by providing a printing density control means indicating the density at the time of printing. CONSTITUTION:For example, when dark printing is set by a variable density printing control means 6 in such a case that act invitation card of a marriage ceremony is printed, a command increasing the density at the time of the development of an image is sent to an image developing means 2 and double typing printing control repeatedly printing the same character or line is executed in a printer using an ink ribbon by said command. When printing of low density is set by the variable density printing control means 6 in such a case that a message of condolence is printed, a command lowering the density at the time of the development of an image is sent to the image developing means 2 and the logical operation with a character subjected to black and white pattern printing such that block and white are alternately, arranged at every one dot in longitudinal and lateral directions is taken in the image developing means 2 to form the image of a character of low printing density. |
