PURPOSE:To prevent the corrosion and deterioration of a recording layer by providing a protective layer on the outermost layer and forming the protective layer of a material having 1 to 35% hydrolysis rate. CONSTITUTION:A reflection layer consisting of Al is formed by a sputtering method on the recording layer and further, the protective layer consisting of a UV curing resin essentially consisting of an urethane acryl prepolymer is formed on the reflection layer by a spin coater method. The relation between the electric conductivity of the protective layer and the byte error of the resulted optical recording medium is investigated by changing the electric conductivity of the material forming this protective layer. The corrosion of the recording layer by the hydrolysis after loading is then prevented in the case of the optical recording medium having the protective layer of 1 to 35% hydrolysis rate and, therefore, the corrosion resistance of the recording medium is improved. |
