PURPOSE:To obtain a high-performance magnet by mixing PuNi3 type intermetallic compound powder having specific crystal structure with R2T14B phase (R represents a rare earth element and T represents Fe or Fe and Co) alloy powder at a specific weight ratio and sintering a mixture. CONSTITUTION:An alloy mainly composed of R2T14B phase (R represents a rare earth element containing Nd, Pr and Dy as main bodies and T a transition metal containing Fe or Fe and Co as main bodies) is used as an A alloy, and an alloy mainly consisting of a PuNi3 type intermetallic compound, crystal structure of which is represented by a space group of R-bar 3m, is employed as a B alloy. 1-40wt.% B alloy powder is mixed with 99-60wt.% A alloy powder, the mixed powder is pressure-molded in a magnetic field, and a molded form is sintered in a vacuum or an inert gas atmosphere, and thermally treated at a temperature lower than a sintering temperature. Accordingly, a high- performance magnet, in which a high energy product is balanced, can be acquired. |
