PURPOSE:To efficiently advance a meeting of a small number of attendants by arranging a display device on the top of a table, etc., so that its display surface is horizontal, and changing the display direction. CONSTITUTION:When each polarity inversion switch is at a 1st position, a scan is made in a specific direction and an erect image 29 is displayed on the display device 5, i.e., the display screen of the cathode-ray tube. When the polarity inversion switch is at a 2nd position, on the other hand, a scan is made in a specific direction and an inverted, i.e., 180 turned-over image 29 is displayed on the display screen of the cathode-ray tube. In this case, the display device of a work station is fitted on the top plate of the table or a desk and arranged so that the display surface of the display device is horizontal. Then the display device is equipped with a message window 30 wherein input characters and a response from the system are displayed and a document window 31 wherein the contents of a generated or stored document are displayed. |
