<p>PURPOSE: To improve the utilizing efficiency of a tape by recording and reproducing a signal to the front face with a normal head drum and recording and reproducing a signal to the back face with a mobile compact head drum. CONSTITUTION: A magnetic tape 100 travels to a winding side, by rotating a capstan 124 in a state where the tape 100 is in close contact with a front head drum 112 by a guide roller 116, a slant guide 118 and a back head drum 114. The drums 112 and 114 are rotated by the driving means of a video cassette recorder, corresponding to the traveling of the tape 100 to record and reproduce a signal to the front and back faces of the tape 100. At this time, the drum 112 records and reproduces a video signal to the front face of the tape 100, the drum 114 records and reproduces a speech signal or a character signal to the back face of the tape 100. The drum 114 is provided for a rotary axis 220 with the same inclination as the drum 112 and rotated by a gear 212. Thereby, the utilizing efficiency of the tape is improved.</p> |
