OPENING OF DYNAMIC LASER DIODE FOR OPTICAL SCANNER

PURPOSE: To provide a dynamic laser diode opening which converges light from a laser diode in an optical scanner and increase the power of the light beam to a prefixed maximum value. CONSTITUTION: The optical scanner includes a motor having a hollow circular shaft 28 which can pass light. A lens member 35 focuses light and a dynamic opening 37 formed in a cap member 31 provided in the end of the motor shaft which is closest to a laser converges the focused light. The shape of the opening 37 resembles to that of the pattern of the light from a laser diode before focusing. In a preferable example, the opening 37 has a rectangular shape as a whole and rotates together with the motor shaft.
