PURPOSE:To provide a small-sized and low-noise semiconductor laserexcited solid laser device which can constantly output stable green light with less noise. CONSTITUTION:A single-mode semiconductor laser chip 11 which is stabilized in oscillating wavelength is used as the exciting light source of the title laser device and a Peltier element 12 which controls the temperature of the chip 11 is incorporated in the laser device. In addition, an optical isolator is put between the chip 11 and an Nd:YVO4 microchip 2 so as to prevent the chip 11 from becoming an unstable oscillating state by returning light. When the chip 11 is constituted in such a way, the chip 11 can be effectively used as a small-sized low-noise green laser, especially, as a light source for optical disks. |
