PURPOSE:To detect the step out by the breaking of a coil by letting a current flow only from one coil to another coil, and monitoring the terminal voltage of another coil, and judging it to be abnormal in case that the terminal voltage is below a specified value. CONSTITUTION:This detector is equipped with a two-phase exciting pattern which instructs it to let a current flow only from one coil phiU to other one coil phiV by turning on the transistor Tr1 above one coil phiU and also, turning on the transistor Tr4 below other one coil phiV. At the time of detection by this two-phase exciting pattern, the terminal voltage of another coil phiW on the side where a current is not let flow is read in with a voltage monitor MW, and in case that the terminal voltage is on low level, so long as there is no other abnormality, it judges it to be the wire breaking of the upstream coil phiV. Hereby, the breaking of the coil also becomes possible, and the step out of the motor can be detected accurately. |
