This float consists of a flexible casing (1) in which a central separation band (2) defines two inflatable bags (3), preferably having an oblong shape with a flared end part (3a) forming the upper end when the float is inflated, each bag being deployed on each side of the central band and holding the latter pressed against the cable (8); inflation openings (6, 7) are made in each bag (3), the casing being formed by two sheets of plastic joined along their periphery in a leaktight manner. This float can be submerged to the desired depth without any difficulty because it is moved in the uninflated state, then can be inflated in place using a pressure reducer, retaining excellent stability because it consists of two bags extending on either side of the cable (8) which they support. <IMAGE> |
