- Device for extracting pulverulent or granular materials, particularly from a circular silo, of the type comprising an endless screw (worm) (20) rotating on itself in order to entrain the product towards the centre where it is taken up by a discharge pit (shaft) (2) and the assembly including, in a known manner, a diametral beam (7) bearing on two opposite points of the wall of the silo (8) and overhanging the central discharge pit as well as the mechanism for entraining the endless screw, the said beam, particularly with a profile in the shape of an inverted "V", making it possible to protect the mechanism and to gain access thereto from the outside in the event of need while offering a garage position for the beam, the endless screw being controlled from a bevel-gear assembly (4) in a central position above the discharge pit (2), the bevel-gear mechanism (4) is contained in a cylindrical skirt (12) located under the central part of the beam (7) and the base of which is dimensioned and shaped so as to prevent any gravitational flow of the product into the discharge pit (2), the skirt surrounds the bevel-gear mechanism (4) and includes a circular opening (13) in its cylindrical wall for the passage of the endless screw (20) and the skirt is itself integral in rotation with the said bevel gear and the screw which is associated with it. <IMAGE>
