<p>PURPOSE:To provide a cartridge magnetic tape device of library type capable of efficiently and quickly managing a name of medium. CONSTITUTION:The device is provided with a housing part 3 divided into an area 4 to house unused cartridge magnetic tapes in which the name of medium is unprinted on a label stuck on a case of the medium and an area 5 to house the cartridge magnetic tape in use in which the name of medium is already printed on the label stuck on the case of the medium, and also provided with a printing part 10 to print the name of medium on the label on the cartridge magnetic tape and a printing control part 11 to instruct the printing to the printing part 10. By the instruction from a host device 13, the unused medium, the name of which is unprinted on the label, is taken out from the housing part, and also the means to print the name of medium on the label on the cartridge magnetic tape is arranged.</p> |
