An anti-splinter device (16) for sawing machines having a saw blade (10) can be operationally linked to the sawing machine, be laid on workpieces and arranged at the side of the saw blade (10), in the area where the saw blade teeth (14) come out of the workpiece. The anti-splinter device (16) cooperates under pressure with the saw blade teeth (14) that come out of the workpiece.
