Apparatus comprising an ultrasonic probe for removing biologic tissue, said apparatus comprising a housing, which may at the outside be designed as a handle, and which contains a support for an armature, to which a piezoelectric element is fastened in a vibration transferring way, and to which the probe is fastened, the probe and the armature forming an oscillating system with a resonance frequency in the ultrasonic area. In order to meet the object of designing the apparatus with a slim housing, which is easy to hold, the armature is a prismatic body, which is symmetrical around a plane going through the axis of the probe, said prism comprising 2, 3, or 4 side faces of identical shape, said body being fixed in a sleeve-shaped section of the housing or in a sleeve connected with the housing with an intermediate layer of a number of segments corresponding to the number of side faces and a corresponding number of plane piezo elements for acting in shear mode in a plane running parallel with the axis of the probe. |
