The oscillator has a pulse generator (1,13) generating a pulse signal with a pulse width corresp. to an adjusting value. An image display position is adjusted, using an horizontal synchronisation signal as trigger pulses. A second pulse generator (2,14) generates an horizontal driver pulse signal with a pulse width with a second adjusting value, using the following flanks of the first generator pulse signal. A first measuring section (11) measures the pulse width from the first generator pulse signal, while a second measuring section (12) does the same for the horizontal driver pulse signal. A control section (30) transmits the two adjusting values for removing the difference between the measuring section output signal and two respective rated values.
