A plastic pipe (10) includes a pipe main body (12), and, at the end portion of the pipe main body (12), there is formed a receiving opening having an enlarged diameter, which is provided in the inner surface or in the vicinity of the inner surface thereof with a heating unit (18). At the time of jointing, the outer peripheral surface of the pipe end portion of a pipe (28) and the like to be jointed is machined by a scraper or the like, and the machined portion is inserted into the receiving opening. Then, electric current is supplied to the heating unit (18) to heat the same. Then, the joint surfaces of the pipe (28) and the like to be jointed and the receiving opening and synthetic resin disposed thereabout are melted, so that the both members are welded together. |
