<p>A comb (10) is formed from two half-comb sections (16, 18) laid one on top of the other. Each half of the comb includes every other tooth (12) of the full comb, such that when the two halves (16, 18) are mated, the two sets of teeth will be interleaved to form a comb having narrow inter-tooth gaps (32). This allows each of the half-comb blanks (42) to be directly stamped from a sheet material. Where it is desired to electrically insulate adjacent teeth from one another, a non-conductive separator (46) is interposed between the two half-comb sections during assembly.</p> |
