Asparagus bed ridging attachment for tractor hitch - has height of ridge monitored via pressure on upper flap with automatic correction for ridging action
摘要
The ridging attachment has a cowl to straddle the ridge and with cultivators (4) each side of the ridge to move the earth. A tapering cowl at the rear of the attachment has two side flaps (5) with rigid mounting and an upper flap (7) on a sprung, hinged support. The force on the upper flap is monitored to control the working depth of the cultivators and hence the amount of earth heaped on to the ridge. The upper flap is attached to a linkage incorporating a torque measuring bolt (11). The output from the sensors is fed back to control the working depth of the cultivators by raising or lowering the entire hitch. An even ridge is thus formed. ADVANTAGE - Automatic control of ridge height ensures even crop and optimum cropping levels.
