ANALOG TYPE TOUCH PANEL

PURPOSE:To provide such a constitution of an analog type touch panel which can reduce the position detecting error against the higher accuracy and a larger size of the touch panel. CONSTITUTION:An X axis resistance film panel 2 and a Y axis resistance film panel 3 which are formed by generating the resistance films on a substrate consisting of glass, etc., are set orthogonal to each other and provided with pairs of divided electrodes. The voltage is applied to one of both pairs of electrodes from a control part 16 and the voltage detectors 17-20 are connected to the other pair of electrodes. A CPU 1 instructs the part 16 to successively apply the voltage to the X and Y axis electrodes so that the position coordinates of both panels 2 and 3 are read. Then the potential differences are successively detected by the voltage detectors of the X and Y axis sides and sent to the CPU 1 as the digital data. The CPU 1 calculates the position coordinates based on the received digital data.
