Reusable releasable connection device - used e.g. on heated vessels and components in smelting works

A device, for releasable connection of a screw or threaded bolt with a nut or of a fixing bolt with a slotted hole and a cotter, consists of a releasable skim element which is located between the fastened component (1) and the nut (3a), the screw head or the cotter and which has conical compression joint faces. The novelty is that (i) the shim element consists of a two- or multi-part seating ring (4), a pressure ring (5) and a sleeve or holder ring (6) which clasps the seating ring (4); and (ii) the conical faces cooperate to form a compression joint (8) between the seating ring (4) and the pressure ring (5). USE/ADVANTAGE - The device is useful for releasable connections to heated vessels and components of smelting equipment. It provides improved release of the connection so that the connection elements can be reused several times.
