FUSING GLASS FOR MANGANESE-ZINC FERRITE

This glass finds application as an agent for soldering magnetic ducts made of manganese-zinc ferrite for use in the manufacture of magnetic disc heads. Its linear thermal expansion factor α = (20-300 degrees C) - (115-118).10 <-70> C <-1> and its softening temperature is 650 +/- 10 degrees C. The glass contains, in percent: 65-67 silica, 3-5 calcium oxide, 25-27 sodium oxide, 3-5 aluminium oxide and 0.5-2.5 calcium fluoride.
