The bidirectional filter for a CATV system filters the return signal in 54-550 MHz by a high pass filter (2) and transmits the signal to the subscribers. The filter filters the forward signal in 5 MHz - 3 MHz by a low pass filter (1) and transmits the signal to the head end. The low pass filter comprises three air coils (L1,L3,L5) serially connecting with each other and two capacitors (C1,C2) connecting with two core coils (L2,L4). The high pass filter comprises five capacitors (C3-C7) and two air coils (L6,L7).
