SLAB CASTING MATERIAL

A casting agent is composed of 28-32 wt.% calcium oxide (CaO), 28-32 wt.% silica (SiO2), 4.1-10.25 wt.% fluorite (including 2-5 wt.% fluorine) as a fluorine source, less than 5 wt.% alumina (Al2O3), 4-10 wt.% magnesia (MgO), 3-10 wt.% sodium oxide (Na2O), 2-6 wt.% lithium oxide (Li2O), 2-8 wt.% boron oxide (B2O3) and remainder impurities. The obtained agent minimizes the amount of dissolving fluorine and there is no need to employ a fluorine treating equipment.
