The casting machine includes two contrarotating rolls (1, 2) with parallel axes and two fixed lateral walls (4) bearing on the axial ends of the rolls (1, 2), delimiting a casting space (3) between the rolls (1, 2). Each of the lateral walls (4) includes two plates (5, 6) which are each in frictional contact with a plane front face of one of the rolls (1, 2) and at least one complementary wall (9, 10) inserted between the two plates (5, 6) and between the rolls (1, 2). The rolls (1, 2) include, on their front faces, an annular groove (19, 20) whose axis is the axis of the roll, in a zone in contact with a plate (5, 6). A lubricant is introduced into the groove (19, 20). The metal plates (5, 6) preferably include an annular rib (23, 24) engaged in the groove (19, 20), ensuring the radial positioning of the plates (5, 6). <IMAGE>
