<p>PURPOSE:To perform the regeneration of a filter by means of back washing so simply and inexpensively by making exhaust gas immediately after the release of an exhaust brake flow back to a filter, thereby separating the particulate collected by this filter after the back washing, and recollecting it. CONSTITUTION:An ON-OFF valve 11 serving as an exhaust braking device which is opened or closed by a control circuit 9 via an actuator 12 is installed in an exhaust pipe 2 positioned upstream of an exhaust selector valve 8. In this case, at the time of nonoperation of an exhaust brake, namely, at the time of opening or closing of this ON-OFF valve 11, the exhaust selector valve 8 is selected by the control circuit 9 via an actuator 10. In addition, a first exhaust control valve 17 is closed while a second exhaust control valve 18 is opened instead. As the ON-OFF valve 11 opens the exhaust pipe 2, exhaust gas is made to flow back to a filter 1 from an exhaust inlet pipe 5b. With this constitution, particulates collected by this filter 1 are dropped in a collecting vessel 14 for recollection. Subsequently, an electric heater 13 is energized with current to incinerate the particulates.</p> |
