<p>PURPOSE:To provide the method for rapidly refining the molten metal by using slag. CONSTITUTION:The flow in the circumferential direction of the molten metal 3 is so formed as to have the components in the direction facing each other by plural pieces unidirectional moving magnetic field coils 2 installed in the upper part of the outside wall of a molten metal container 1 so that the slag drops generated in the molten metal near the collision of the flow is involved into the molten metal by the downflow. Consequently, the contact boundary of the slag 4 and the molten metal 3 is increased and the refining reaction is rapidly progressed.</p> |
