PURPOSE:To easily adjust a printing format in accordance with a document format. CONSTITUTION:A document format for a printing medium is inputted from an image input means 70. A document length recognition means 90 recognizes a document length received from a control means 10. The control means 10 receives a frame and ruled line recognition result from a frame and ruled line recognition means 80. A character size/line feed trial means 100 determines a character size/line feed for every field in a table on the basis of the received frame and ruled line and document length recognition results. A character size/line feed determination means 110 successively retrieves a minimum value from the received data. An edition means 40 again edits the data on the basis of the value determined by the character size/line feed determination means 110. |
