PURPOSE:To provide an optical recording medium for which a low costed specific phthalocyanine compound being chemically physically stable and capable of recording and reading out in high sensitivity with laser beams is used. CONSTITUTION:The title optical recording medium contains at least one kind of phthalocyanine compound as given by the general formula in a recording layer on a substrate, and can write and read information with laser beams. Further, it is composed of a four layer structure of a transparent substrate/a recording film layer/a reflecting film layer/a protective film and in a direct-read- after-write optical disk, its recording layer is the direct-read-after-write optical recording medium corresponding to a compact disk or to a compact disk-ROM composed of at least one kind of phthalocyanine compounds as given by the general formula [1]. |
