PURPOSE:To prevent the breakage of a cast tube without lowering the productivity. CONSTITUTION:In a mold device 13 for continuously casting the metallic tube, having the mold 19 and a core 20, and forming a tube forming passage 25 between the mold 19 and the core 20 and cooling molten metal introduced from casting side of the tube forming passage 25 to form the cast tube and enabling drawing of this cast tube from drawing side of the tube forming passage 25, a heat insulating layer 19C composed of heat insulating material is inserted between the mold 19A at the casting side and the mold 19B at the drawing side. |
