STRENGTHENED CATALYST FOR EXHAUST GAS TREATMENT

PURPOSE:To obtain an exhaust gas treatment catalyst with a significantly enhanced strength against abrasion caused by dust in an exhaust gas without deterioration of denitration activity. CONSTITUTION:The tip at the gas inlet side of a monolithic porous denitration catalyst containing titanium is coated with at least one type of sol selected from among a group consisting of zirconium sol and zirconium silicate sol, then is dried and/or baked. In addition, the average diameter of particles of this sol is to be 400Angstrom or smaller.
