<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a vertical split generated in the longitudinal direction of a shaft from the tip of the shaft, increase the flexibility of the shaft, improve the flight distance of a ball and the driving feeling of the ball, shorten the winding time of a hoop layer at the time of molding, and improve productivity. CONSTITUTION:An over-hosel type golf club shaft 1 is constituted of multiple bias layers 2 arranged with reinforcing fibers (f) slantly against the longitudinal direction of the shaft 1, multiple straight layers 3 arranged with reinforcing fibers (f) in parallel with the longitudinal direction of the shaft 1, and at least one hoop layer 4 arranged with reinforcing fibers (f) in the direction nearly perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. The hoop layer 4 is provided between the bias layers 2 and the straight layers 3 or between the straight layers 3 and only on the tip side 1a of the shaft 1.</p> |
