<p>PURPOSE:To prevent water drops from entering a contact part between a driving shaft and a bearing for allowing a toothbrush to be used for a long period of time when the toothbrush is slowed with its brush head remaining attached to the toothbrush main body by providing a water stop on a handle or the driving shaft of the brush head. CONSTITUTION:After completion of tooth brushing, brush head 3 is washed and a motor-driven toothbrush main body 6 is set in the receptacle of a stand 22 to slow it. During stowing, charging takes place through a charge circuit in the stand 22. When the motor-driven toothbrush 6 is slowed in upright posture with the brush head 3 remaining attached to the motor-driven toothbrush main body 6 after used, water drops containing Ca component separated from tooth polishing agent, tartar, etc., drip down along a handle 2, however, the water drops are blocked by a water stop 4 and dirt is prevented from drying up to solid at the contact part between a water-sealing rubber 18 and the driving shaft 10 or between the driving shaft 10 and a bearing 9, so that rotation failure of the driving shaft 10 does not occur.</p> |
