PURPOSE:To eliminate the dislocation of a printed line due to the expansion of a web through moisture absorption or the like by providing presser means at both sides of the web travelling toward a printing section, and staggering both presser means in the breadth direction of the web. CONSTITUTION:A web breadth adjusting device 20 laid at an intermediate position between printing sections P and P' provided in the travel direction of a web W of a lithography rotary printing machine, is equipped with presser faces 1a to 1f for pressing the web W from one side, and presser faces 1g to 1k for pressing the web W from the other side. These presser faces are constituted of rollers (a) to 2f, and 2g to 2k mounted on shafts 3a and 3b. In this case, adjacent rollers 2 to 2f, and 2g to 2k are so arranged as to be staggered from one another. Also, both ends of each of the shafts 3a and 3b are held at eccentric positions of eccentric sleeves 4 to 4d, and the shafts 3a and 3b are caused to rotate via a gear train on the rotation of a worm gear 7 fitted to the shaft of a drive means 8, thereby being caused to near and part from the web W. |
