PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition having high flame resistance passing the V-0 class of the UL 94 standard and excellent in the mechanical properties, moldability, etc., by melt-kneading a styrenic resin with two kinds of specific organic flame retardants. CONSTITUTION:(A) A styrenic resin, (B) an organic flame retardant [preferably 1,2-bis(tetrabromophthalimido)ethane] not melting at the melt-kneading temperature (<300 deg.C) of the component A, (C) an organic flame retardant (preferably tetrabromobisphenol A type epoxy resin flame retardant) melting at the melt- kneading temperature (<=200 deg.C) of the component A and (D) a thermoplastic elastomer (preferably styrene-butadiene-styrene copolymer, etc.,) are melt-kneaded to provide the objective composition. |
