PURPOSE:To prevent the rotation processing capability from being deteriorated even when remaining data are produced by executing rotation processing of input picture data in a less capacity picture memory and outputting the processed data efficiently. CONSTITUTION:The processing unit includes a rotation storage area 14a storing block data resulting from dividing input picture data into a predetermined unit of blocks, an interpolation section before rotation at interpolating remaining data, if any, when the data are stored in the rotation storage area 14a, a rotation order command/read means 12 sequentially reading block data of block lines after rotation in the initial main scanning direction of an output device 2 after rotation in the unit of 90 deg., a division rotation section 13 executing rotation processing to block data read by the read means 12, an after-rotation storage area 14b storing at least one block line of data processed through the rotation processing as block data of one block line of the output device 2, and an output control section 15 outputting the block data of at least by one block line. |
