PURPOSE: To improve pipe couplings for feed water stopcocks, especially to allow fast coupling of pipe terminals by insertion. CONSTITUTION: A screw thread 12 is provided at the inlet zone of a casing hole 11. A spring engageable sleeve 3 which is immovable in the axial direction is fitted at the end of a pipe as a fixing means. Tongues springily expanding in the radial direction are provided on the sleeve 3, which prevent falling off of the pipe 2 as the tongues are supported by the thread flank after insertion of the pipe 2.
