PURPOSE:To enhance the acceleration capability and the steering stability of a vehicle incorporating a output power control system and a differential limit torque control system, by increasing the differential limit torque control gain in a high lateral acceleration condition while increasing' the output control gain in a low lateral acceleration condition upon occurrence of a slip during acceleration. CONSTITUTION:An acceleration slip detecting means (a) for detecting a slip condition of drive wheels is provided, and an internal combustion engine output power control means (b) for controlling the opening degree of a motor throttle valve or the like, lowers the output power of the engine in accordance with the slip condition upon detection of a slip during acceleration. Further, lateral acceleration detecting means (c) for detecting a lateral acceleration applied to the vehicle is provided, and a differential limit torque control means (d) control the differential limit torque between right and left drive wheels in accordance with a result of detection for the lateral acceleration. When a lateral acceleration occurs upon a slip during acceleration, a gain regulating means (e) increases the differential limit torque control gain in a high lateral acceleration condition but increases the output power control gain in a low lateral acceleration condition.
