Polishing stack (calender) for thermoplastic films or sheets

Presented here is a polishing stack (calender) for polishing a web of plastic emerging from a slot die and having two polishing rolls, which allows just one device to be used for eliminating bearing and stand play and setting the thickness of the roll nip. There is provided a device allowing stand and bearing prestressing, which influences a roll nip thickness setting device.
