PURPOSE:To obtain a recording fluid which can give a printing of good quality and a recorded image of a high density, excels in water resistance and light resistance and is good in stability after prolonged storage by adding a specified black dye as a component of a recording component to an aqueous medium. CONSTITUTION:The title fluid contains an aqueous medium and at least one of dyes of formula I (wherein R<1> is 2-4C hydroxyalkyl or 1-3 alkyl substituted by COOM; R<2> is H, 2-4C hydroxyalkyl or 1-3C alkyl substituted by COOM; X, Y, Z and W are each H, methyl, methoxy or acylamino; M is an alkali metal, NH4 or an organic amine salt) and formula II (wherein R<1> is 2-4C hydroxyalkyl; R<2> is H or 2-4C hydroxyalkyl; X, Y, Z and W are each H, methyl, methoxy or acylamino; l is 1 or 2; and M is an alkali metal, NH4 or an organic amine salt). |
