PURPOSE: To increase resistance in relation to damage caused by torsional stress, to provide extremely high stability during coloring and spinning in comparison with a cutting tool of a prior art, and to prevent vibration from being generated, by providing an angular single unit relatively easily manufactured and for reducing waste of PDC materials. CONSTITUTION: A cutting insert tool 18 of a rotary cutting tool 28 is provided with a tungsten carbide main body 12 and polycrystalline diamond layers 14, 16 positioned on both facing side surfaces, and the diamond layers are overlapped across a center line of the cutting insert. The cutting insert tool 18 is formed at the cutting tool end so that the first and second side surfaces may be substantially parallel to the axis of the rotary cutting tool 28, and the diamond layers are offset from each other across the width of the main body 12 so as to define main cutting edges of the rotary cutting tool. |
