PURPOSE:To obtain a new polypeptide having both of cell adhesion activity and cell proliferation promoting activity. CONSTITUTION:An artificial functional polypeptide expressed by the general formula X-(Y)m-Z [X is cell adhesion domain polypeptide of human fibronectin; Y is spacer; Z is human fibroblast cell growth factor polypeptide; (m) is 1 or 0]. As a method for producing the polypeptide, a method for preparing a plasmid, introducing the plasmid into Escherichia coil, culturing the bacteria, detecting the produced polypeptide with a monoclonal antibody and purifying the polypeptide is exemplified. The polypeptide is especially useful to healing of wound. |
