PRODUCTION OF PNEUMATIC TIRE

PURPOSE:To produce a pneumatic tire with roundness of 0.3mm or less by producing a mold having high roundness within a short period of time by casting a mold through a process forming a resin layer on a ring composed of a material having processability of high accuracy to form a tire master and producing a mold master using a resin having rubber elasticity. CONSTITUTION:A steel ring 1 produced so as to have indicated roundness and an indicated size is fitted in upper and lower split molds 2. An injection pipe 4 is passed through the resin layer forming part 13 formed by the outer peripheral surface of the ring 1 and the molds 2 to inject a room temp. curable resin in the resin layer forming part 13. After the resin is cured, the ring 1 is separated to form a tread pattern on the resin layer to produce a tire master. A flowable room temp. curable resin, for example, an urethane bond-containing epoxy resin is used to produce upper and lower mold masters from the tire master. Gypsum blocking is performed from the masters to attach the assembly of a carcass part to cast a tire mold. A green tire is received in this mold to be molded.
