PURPOSE:To obtain corn tea useful for promoting health, having a characteristic fragrance by roasting and an improved taste by absorbing water in corn, steam ing the corn, drying, roasting and blending the roasted corn with tea leaves. CONSTITUTION:Raw material corn of popcorn species is washed with water while stirring together with water, the corn washed with water is immersed in water for 2-20 hours and water is sufficiently absorbed in the corn. The corn is dehydrated, steamed at 80-105 deg.C steam temperature for 1-60 minutes, dried until water content reaches 10-20% and roasted at 250-370 deg.C for 2-60 minutes to give roasted corn. The roasted corn is mixed with tea leaves for drinking tea in a blending ratio of 10:90-90:10 to give the objective corn tea which has a characteristic aroma by roasting and sufficient components contained in corn and both improved fragrance and taste. |
