PURPOSE:To provide a small spherical body which has good fluidity and has no hollow particles and has better breaking property on press, compared with the current granulating method, and the production thereof. CONSTITUTION:The objective ceramic small spherical body is characterized in that its average particle diameter is 75-120mum (preferably, <=60mum standard deviation) and substantially contains no hollow particles and is essentially solid particles, and a method for granulating the ceramic small spherical body in water are provided. Ceramics fine power made hydrophobic by surface treatment with 21-39C saturated fatty acid, aqueous ammonia and 1-4C fatty alcohol is given submerged granulation using water as solvent and an organic solvent or a solution where high molecular substances are dissolved in an organic solvent as a binding agent to produce the objective ceramic small spherical body. |
