PURPOSE:To obtain dried food petals of good shape and color tone without large-scale installation including vacuum pumps, by embedding the raw petals in the hygroscopic agent extended in a perforated vessel set in the dryer including a drying agent. CONSTITUTION:Food flower petals are buried in a hygroscopic agent, preferably granule sugar, in a perforate vessel 3 set in the drier main body 2 including a desiccating agent, for example, silica gel and gradually dried under the normal pressure as the air is naturally convected.
