PURPOSE:To provide a studless tire capable of acquiring both driving performance and steering performance on an icy snow-covered road to the maximum. CONSTITUTION:On a studless tire forming a large number of blocks 4 divided by main grooves 2 in the tire circumferential direction and sipes 3 in the tire cross direction on a tread surface 1 and making a meridian sectional shape of this tread as a square shoulder, the sipes 3 and kerfs 5 existing in a shoulder 6 territory which is 25% of a tread grounding width are arranged linearly symmetrically against an equatorial line S respectively inside of both edge parts of a tread grounding surface. Thereafter, more than 80% of the sipes 3 and the kerfs 5 are to be made at a groove angle of 10 degrees to 20 degrees against the meridian direction, and this is a studless tire where more than 80% of the sipes kerfs and the kerfs 5 existing in a central territory which is 15% of the tread grounding width W on both right and left sides respectively from the equatorial line S are made at a groove angle of 0 degrees to 5 degrees against the meridian direction. |
