PURPOSE:To prevent slip of a transmission belt at starting of a vehicle on an ascent by switching an auxiliary transmission to a high-speed gear stage when a shift lever is manipulated to a forward driving range and the vehicle is stopped on the ascent. CONSTITUTION:When a shift lever 142 is manipulated to a forward range, a car is stopped with a car speed lower than a judgment reference value, an idle switch 131 is on without a driver's will to start and accelerate and a brake pedal 145 is continuously manipulated for more than a predetermined time, a sixth solenoid valve 162 is switched to the ON state and an auxiliary transmission 18 is switched to a high-speed gear stage. When the auxiliary transmission is switched to the high-speed gear stage and a clutch C2 for high-speed stage is engaged in this way, reverse rotation of the auxiliary transmission is prevented and backward movement of the vehicle on an ascent is prevented. |
