This polygonal package has an even number of sides and is provided with an automatic or semi-automatic bottom and a lid (29). Each side wall (1, 2, 4, 5) has an extension in two parts defined by transverse folding lines allowing them to be folded successively and respectively over the upper face of the lid, in the closed position, for the proximal part (36, 39, 41, 43) of the extension and, after passing through a window (31, 32) formed by a cut-out in the lid (29), against the internal face of the corresponding edge of the lid (29), for the terminal part (37, 40, 42, 44) of the extension, each folding line (48, 49, 50, 51) of the upper edge of a wall (1, 2, 4, 5) and the proximal part (36, 39, 41, 43) of its extension having an opening (52, 53, 54, 55) and each terminal part of an extension having a tenon (56, 57, 58, 59) capable of being engaged in the opening (52, 53, 54, 55) mentioned above. <IMAGE>
