The exhaust gas manifold is for an IC engine. The main pipe (11) consists of an outer tube (19) and a thin-walled inner tube (20), with an annular space (21) in between. The branch pipe sections (12,13,14) are relatively short and of roughly the same length such that the centre line axis of the main pipe runs parallel to the fastening flanges (15,16) and so to the engine block. USE/ADVANTAGE - Exhaust gas manifold where the time difference between starting the engine and activating the catalytic converter is relatively short.
